Sudley Junior Blog…

To all the children and staff of Sudley Junior School,

Miss Higson and I are having a fascinating time in Malaysia. So far we have visited two schools and we have been made to feel so welcome. The school we visited this morning put on a Gymnastic and dance display for us. In Malaysia the children learn to speak English and their Maths and Science lessons are also taught in English. One of the biggest differences is the weather which is around 32 degrees all year round. As a result of the intense heat the school halls and classroom are open air! They are covered by a ceiling but often have no walls. When I showed the teachers the pictures of Sudley in the snow they were amazed, as they never have snow here. One school said they had a problem with bats, foxes and monkeys getting into school! Luckily we didn’t see any. Please have a look at the photographs and post any comments. Warmest wishes to all at Sudley.

On Monday 25th January, Sudley Junior School was visited by a journalist from the Liverpool Echo.  This was because we were featured in an education supplement.  The journalists were shown around the school and spoke with our school council.  Special thanks must go to Mrs Garvey and Miss Brady, for all their hard work organising the day.  The issue was released on Tuesday 26th January.
